If you've never heard of, seen, read or been able to experience Hungry Girl then stop reading and google NOW! Lisa Lillien is a brilliant chef who creates INSANELY delicious recipes that are low cal, and usually high fiber and loaded with protein! This morning I was craving something filling, delicious and sweet! (Like most days) I decided to try out her recipe Cinnamon Raisin Stuffed French Toast
Ingredients:
-1/4c Fat Free liquid egg substitute OR 2 egg whites
-1 1/4tsp vanilla extract
-1/4+1/8tsp cinnamon
-2tbs fat-free cream cheese room temp.
-1tbs raisins, chopped
-1no calorie sweetener
-2 slices of light bread
-I can't believe it's not butter spray OR light whipped butter
DIRECTIONS:
Snag yourself a bowl, mix egg substitute, 1tsp vanilla extract and 1/4tsp cinnamon
In a small bowl mix cream cheese, raisins, sweetener, remaining 1/4vanilla and remaining 1/8tsp of cinnamon. GENTLY spread onto one slice of bread. Top with the other bread slice and LIGHTLY press together to seal.
Bring a skillet (sprayed with non stick spray) to med-high heat, add butter to pan (let it coat the bottom of the pan)
Coat your sandwich on all sides with your yummy egg mixture! Finally cook your sandwich until browned on each side .
2-3min per side.
ENJOY!!!
*optional--drizzle with a sugar free or low calorie syrup.*
NOTE: nutrition content is using whipped butter NOT the i can't believe it's not butter spray.
