Everyone's different, some can function on 6 hours of sleep, some need 9 hours...like me. However, in the end the magic number always ends up being AT LEAST eight! I don't care who you are you better be getting eight hours of sleep! Sleep is so important!!! It's what recharges our bodies for the next day!!! If you think "Oh I'm fine with just five hours of sleep." You're sadly mistaken. You may be able to function but you are more likely heavier then you would be if you were getting 8 hours, you are most likely not as energized as you could be with 8 hours and there's no way your metabolism is as fast as it would be with 8 hours. You could be kicking butt at life EVEN MORE if you just would take those extra hours to give your brain, muscles, bones and everything exactly what it NEEDS...SLEEP. I don't care if you think OH MY GOD THIS IS BORING...SHE'S WRITING ABOUT SLEEP. Psht HEY HOE I DON'T CUR WHAT YOU THINK! I am seriously not as powerful at life without my EIGHT to NINE hours of sleep!It's just something I see all the time in people, not getting enough sleep. It's more important then you think.
After a huge long work out when your RESTING or SLEEPING THAT'S when the REAL magic happens! Your muscles are repairing themselves and getting bigger and more awesome from the insane work out you just completed. SO TRY IT! Experiment for ONE WEEK! SLEEP for 8 hours a night!! DO IT!
Turn the t.v. and computers off 30 minutes before you close those eyes, don't text or look at your phone. The light from these electronics are just waking up your brain, tricking it into thinking it's no where near time to go get some shut eye, making YOU unable to get to sleep as fast. Listen to an audio book, read a book, time yourself to be done at a certain time! Then let Mr. Sandman work his magic.
